Big Health, a provider of non-drug digital treatments for mental health, announced it’s expanding into the teenage market through the acquisition of San Francisco-based Limbix. Terms weren’t disclosed.
The acquisition will permit Big Health to offer Limbix’s application called SparkRx, which treats teens with symptoms of depression. Since its founding 2016, Limbix has raised $30 million.
Big Health already provides two applications that have been clinically tested for treatments without medication: Sleepio for insomnia, and Daylight for anxiety.
“Our acquisition of Limbix is a strategic milestone in advancing our mission to help millions back to good mental health,” Big Health Chairman and Chief Executive Arun Gupta said in a statement.
While Big Health’s headquarters is in San Francisco, Gupta works out of his office in Newport Beach. For more on Big Health’s plans, see the July 24 issue of the Business Journal.
