Taco Bell Corp. announced today its second digital-focused drive thru will open on July 18.
The restaurant will be the first location on the West Coast in Las Vegas and the first ‘Taco Bell Go Mobile’, a concept originally announced in 2020. Specifically focused on mobile app orders, the new design will feature two drive-thru lanes, smart kitchen technology, and on-site digital features with a smaller footprint and no indoor seating.
The Las Vegas spot follows the debut of the four-lane drive thru location in Minnesota that opened in June dubbed ‘Taco Bell Defy’.
The Irvine-based restaurant chain partnered with Nevada-based Diversified Restaurant Group (DRG) to oversee the opening. DRG operates a 300-unit multi-brand portfolio in five states including California and Alaska.
“Taco Bell is a significant part of the DRG portfolio and we are thrilled to be part of the exciting growth and evolution of the brand by bringing this new concept to Las Vegas,” DRG President SG Ellison said in a statement. “This location is our first Go Mobile and is particularly special, as we’ve recently opened corporate headquarters in the market.
Owned by Yum Brands Inc. (NYSE: YUM), Taco Bell counts over 7,000 restaurants and works with more than 350 franchise organizations in the U.S.
