Taco Bell Hit with Supply Shortage

Food shortages and delivery delays had Irvine-based Taco Bell Corp. warning customers some of its menu items could be impacted.

“Sorry if we can’t feed your current crave. Due to national ingredient shortages and delivery delays, we may be out of some items,” the restaurant chain, part of Louisville, Ky.-based Yum Brands Inc., said on its website.

Customers on Twitter have complained about shortages at their local Taco Bells on items such as hot sauce, chicken and beef.

Starbucks posted a similar warning of supply shortages to its app.

Supply chain issues have impacted many industries since last year, from restaurants to automotive.
