Fullerton-based Polly’s Pies has promoted Eric Stenta, previously the company’s senior VP and chief concept officer, as the restaurant chain’s new chief executive and president.
Stenta takes over the role from former CEO James Kaa who is stepping down after two years of leading Polly’s Pies. Kaa will transition to a part-time position as VP of finance.
“While navigating through a pandemic and recovering together, we remained strong and focused on better staffing, new menu products, facility improvements and so much more that is paying off in better financial results,” Kaa said in a statement.
Stenta originally started with the 55-year-old pie chain in 2019 and most previously worked in operations at Greenleaf Gourmet ChopShop and the House of Blues in LA. He started his career at Hyatt Hotels and afterwards spent 14 years with California Pizza Kitchen.
Polly’s Pies operates 13 restaurants in California and recently launched nationwide shipping this year. The restaurant company counted sales of $16 million for 2022, up 4.7% from the previous year according to Technomic data.
