Mountain Mike’s Pizza LLC said it capped its first quarter with comparable sales up 23.4% from a year earlier as the Newport Beach-based chain plans for restaurant growth this year that will push it into new states.
The company said it currently has 13 multi-unit development agreements with franchisees for new restaurants in Utah, Idaho and Colorado. That would be in addition to restaurants in development in Arizona, Oregon and Nevada. Some 75 new-restaurant agreements in total have been signed in the past six months, the company said.
Mountain Mike’s expects a minimum of 25 new restaurants to open this year.
The chain currently counts more than 230 locations in California, Oregon and Utah.
