Marwaha Group Inc., based in Anaheim, has been contracted as a business development agent for almost 1,500 Subway restaurants to lead development, franchising and provide support.
The additional stores bring the area developer’s current portfolio count to nearly 1,900 stores, including locations in Houston.
“Subway is making many positive changes under the [current CEO John Chidsey] and our revenues are well above 2019 in California,” Co-Chief Executive Raghu Marwaha told the Business Journal.
While the group does not own or operate any Orange County Subway restaurants, its headquarters have been in Anaheim since starting in 1995.
The Marwaha Group is one of the county’s top five locally based franchisees according to the Business Journal’s prior lists.
