Orange County’s first Joey restaurant, Joey Newport Beach, will open at Fashion Island on January 19.
The opening marks Vancouver-based Joey Restaurant Group’s fourth California location since its first spot in 2015.
With 9,367 square feet of space, the newly renovated restaurant replaces the former Roy’s Restaurant at the Newport Beach shopping center.
“The Joey menu has immensely evolved since we first came to California,” Executive Director of Culinary Matthew Stowe said. “It has been an exciting challenge to enhance and develop new dishes that continue to celebrate our globally inspired cuisine, while staying true to the restaurant’s roots.”
Other developments at Fashion Island, OC’s second largest shopping center, include Lugano Diamond’s new 11,500-square-foot retail concept that will introduce a membership club called Privé.
