Irvine Adds First Roll-Em-Up Taquitos

Second location in OC; Nine more in development

Roll-Em-Up Taquitos, an Irvine-based taquito restaurant concept, opened its second Orange County location in Irvine yesterday.

The new restaurant is located near John Wayne Airport at 17933 MacArthur Blvd. and is Roll-Em-Up’s first in the city with another spot in Brea.

The franchise has opened eight other restaurants in the U.S. with multiple more in development, including nine in OC.

Roll-Em-Up uses the founding family’s taquito recipe for its namesake dish and cooks the fried tortilla filled with chicken, beef or potatoes with cheese and house-made salsas on top.

“Once we tried the food, we knew this was a concept we wanted to be involved with,” Owner Ray Libang said in a statement.

Roll-Em-Up anticipates opening over 500 locations in the next five years, according to officials.
