Santa Ana-based Flame Broiler Inc. has appointed Christian Lee as its new chief operating officer and Daniel Lee as the chief marketing and technology officer.
The two new executives are the sons of the Korean restaurant chain’s founder and chief executive Young Lee. Over the past several years, the siblings have previously been franchise operators of a Flame Broiler location and later held roles in the company’s technology team, marketing department and other operations.
In their new roles, the Lee brothers said they are set to digitize the chain and also leverage data in driving consumer traffic.
Flame Broiler also announced the launch of its new mobile app to be led by the Lee siblings.
“The launch of the Flame Broiler App is another powerful tool for our loyal fans to order wherever and whenever they want, and to share our healthy food with more people,” CTO and CMO Daniel Lee said in a statement.
Other plans for the company include new drive-thrus and takeout only formats for future locations.
Flame Broiler ranks No. 22 on the Business Journal’s list of locally based restaurant chains with $84.7 million in systemwide sales for 2021.
