California Pizza Kitchen Expands Via Vending Machines

Costa Mesa chain’s iconic BBQ Chicken salad now available in 1,800 Farmer’s Fridge locations

Costa Mesa-based California Pizza Kitchen is expanding its reach through a partnership with food vending machine Farmer’s Fridge.

Starting today, the casual dining chain’s famous Original BBQ Chicken Chopped Salad will be available at more than 1,800 Farmer’s Fridge locations across the nation, including several in spots in Orange County such as Chapman University, Children’s Hospital of Orange County and the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

The vending machines, found in dozens of airports and sports venues, sell fresh salads in jars as well as snacks and sandwiches.

Michael Beacham, president of California Pizza Kitchen, said the partnership makes CPK more accessible to consumers.

“This collaboration represents the future of food convenience and we’re proud to partner with an industry leader to meet consumers’ need for fresh, craveable food on the go,” he said in a statement.

The CPK salad will be available at a starting price of $10.99, depending on the location.
