Katella Commons at OCVibe has six new restaurant concepts on the way, each helmed by several new chef partners.
The husband-and-wife chef duo, Danielle Duran and Alessandro Zecca, behind Amiga Amore in Los Angeles will launch a “Mexi-talian” eatery while Chef Alberto Bañuelos will bring his Burritos La Palma to the Anaheim food hall.
A heavy metal and punk rock themed Mexican concept led by Alex “Pobre Diablo” Garcia and Elvia “La Bruja” Huerta, the married founders of Evil Cooks in LA, will arrive at Katella Commons along with a Thai restaurant named Khao Soi led by husband and wife Kanate Ungkasrithongkul and Anita Lin, who are known for Manaao in Tustin.
Lastly, two new food outposts will be created by Chef Zach Scherer, known for his Darkroom Restaurant and Wine Bar in Santa Ana, featuring New York style pizza and fried chicken sandwiches influenced by global cuisine, respectively.
“Every concept we bring into this space is chosen because it represents a genuine culinary voice, with chefs and operators who have something real to say,” said Nick Pacific, vice president of Katella Commons development.
The market hall plans to have 21 chef-driven food stalls, operating in the first two stories of The Weave office building. Both projects aim to open in early 2027.
