TECHNOLOGY
Irvine-based storage products maker Western Digital Corp. rebounded Tuesday from Monday’s down session, rising 8.8% to a market value of $10.71 billion on news the company acquired more than 100 patents from IBM Corp. to improve technology and next-generation products.
REAL ESTATE
Aliso Viejo-based hotel investor and operator Sunstone Hotel Investors Inc. was up 4.9% to $2.41 billion. The stock, which is trading at about half of its daily volume, has been included in the list of value stocks by Zacks Research.
