St. Joseph Health Puts $10M in Software Maker

Irvine-based St. Joseph Health has invested $10 million to expand its partnership with Boulder, Colo.-based Datu Health.

Datu is developing software to connect clinical records, personalized healthcare data and consumers’ health-related preferences. St. Joseph invested an undisclosed amount of money in Datu back in 2013.

St. Joseph said that the money will go to accelerate Datu’s software development efforts, including its Digital Encounter and Persuasion Engine products.

Datu’s software “is a fundamental component of our strategy to deliver population management and to achieving our healthiest communities mission outcome,” said Deborah Proctor, St. Joseph Health’s chief executive.
