Software Maker Gets $10M

Irvine-based security software maker SecureAuth Corp. has raised another $10 million and expanded operations to the Beltway.

Part of the equity financing proceeds helped the company establish an office in the Dulles Technology Corridor in Reston, Va. that will serve as SecurAuth’s regional headquarters to draw top Washington, D.C. talent in ID security and development.

SecureAuth’s subscription software, which verifies the identity of employees allowed access to physical and virtual networks and links users to a particular device on the network, has received strong demand from the law enforcement and medical sectors.

The company relies on recurring revenue from more than 400 customers under its software service business model.

It’s raised $40 million in equity financing to date.
