Newport Beach-based investor Western Realco paid $19 million for a 183,000-square-foot industrial building at 16700 Red Hill Ave. in Irvine. The building is in the Irvine Business Complex and is fully leased by Orthodyne Electronics. Western Realco specializes in developing and buying commercial properties. It recently bought a vacant 30-acre site in the Inland Empire where a speculative industrial project could be built. Its local holdings include a Placentia industrial building that long served as a production facility for Knott’s Berry Farm jams and preserves. Michael Hartel and Joe Winkelmann of Voit Real Estate Services represented Western Realco. Gary Allen, Bob Griffith and Steven Ward of Grubb & Ellis Co. represented seller OE Holdings.
