Owen Group Inc., an architecture and engineering consulting firm, paid $6.3 million for a 35,000-square-foot office building at 35 Tesla in the Irvine Spectrum. The deal was a foreclosure sale by GE Capital, and came to about $180 per square foot. Irvine-based Optimum Power Conversion Inc.’s Teslaco will remain in the building as a tenant. Owen plans to make minor tenant improvements before moving into the building’s top floor in April from their current offices a few miles away. Brian Garbutt and Andrew Robben of Lee & Associates were the brokers in the deal.
