Pipeline Group Sold

Santa Ana-based Pipeline Group Inc. was bought on undisclosed terms by Prometheus Group, a press release said.

Pipeline Group’s website said it provides technology products and services to help “asset-intensive” industries that include energy and utilities. Pipeline’s leaders will continue at the combined company; they weren’t identified in the statement. Company media materials and LinkedIn show its chairman and chief executive is Charlie Sundling.

Prometheus of Raleigh, North Carolina, provides software for maintenance and operations in asset-intensive industries. Its websites lists offices in the U.K., Brazil and Australia, among other places.

Pipeline’s products will permit Prometheus to offer products “to manage even the largest and most complex shutdown/turnaround projects,” Prometheus founder Eric Huang said in the statement.

Pipeline was advised by Corum Group and Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth. Prometheus Group was advised by Paul Hastings LLP and Piper Alderman.
