Newport Beach-based PIMCO said Craig Dawson will replace Bill Benz in June as the global investment firm’s head of Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Dawson, who joined the firm in 1999, will move to London and oversee its five offices that manage a combined $520 billion in assets and employ 460 in London, Munich, Milan, Zurich and Amsterdam.
He previously headed PIMCO’s business in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy and product management for Europe.
Benz is retiring in June after a 30-year career at the global investment firm.
