Midday Stock Roundup

The S&P 500 rose 0.4% to 4,196.52.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.8% to 34,159.33.

The Nasdaq was down 0.4% to 13,910.91.

The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond fell 1% to 1.615%.

Oil increased 1.1% to $64.28 a barrel.

The price of gold jumped 1.4% to $1,792.80 an ounce.

MORTGAGES

LoanDepot (NYSE: LDI) decreased 3% to $19.24 and a $5.9 billion market cap. The Foothill Ranch-based provider of mortgages reported first quarter revenue of $1.3 billion, beating the consensus analyst estimate of $1 billion. The company went public on Feb. 12 at $14 a share, reaching as high as $39.85 on its first day of trading. Shares are currently trading at less than half their average daily volume.

SERVICES

Irvine-based Montrose Environmental Group Inc. (NYSE: MEG) rose 5% to $59.95 and a $1.5 billion market cap. Stock in the air quality and environmental services company has surged 71% since the start of the year, and is up nearly four times since its July 23 IPO at $15 a share.
