Midday Stock Roundup

Indexes fell on renewed coronavirus concerns as infection levels rose across the U.S.

The S&P 500 fell 1.1% to 3,532.39 in midday trading.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 1.2% to 29,046.63 while the Nasdaq ticked down 0.7% to 11,701.07.

The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond fell 7.4% to 0.887%.

Oil rose 0.8% to $41.80.

The price of gold climbed 0.6% to $1,873.50 per ounce.

FINANCE

OC banks fell compared to the general market.

Pacific Premier Bancorp Inc. (Nasdaq: PPBI) of Irvine ticked down 4% to $27.81 and a $2.6 billion market cap. Santa Ana-based Banc of California Inc. (NYSE: BANC) decreased 5.6% to $12.50 and a $628 million market cap. Irvine-based First Foundation Inc. (Nasdaq: FFWM) was down 1% to $16.20 and a $723 million market cap.
