Huntington Beach-based insurance brokerage company Confie has acquired California Insurance Specialists on undisclosed terms.
Santa Ana-based California Insurance Specialists, or CIS, which was founded in 1972, provides homeowners and auto insurance policies. Its three locations—Santa Ana, Bakersfield and Dallas—combine for annual premiums of about $31 million.
CIS President Wayne Pratt and Senior Vice President Randy Parker are expected to continue in their roles. CIS has 33 other employees, who also are expected to remain.
Confie said the latest buy will help advance its “plan to expand into the standard and preferred personal and small commercial lines.”
Confie was founded in 2008 and has grown in large part via acquisitions of smaller brokerage firms throughout the U.S., now totaling more than 100. It has grown to more than 680 retail offices and about $500 million in annual revenue.
