Latest Microsemi Alum Joins Lantronix

Roger Holliday has joined Lantronix (NASDAQ: LTRX) as vice president of worldwide sales, becoming the latest former Microsemi executive to join the Irvine-based computer networking products maker.

Lantronix Chief Executive Paul Pickle in a statement noted Holliday’s “extensive track record at Microsemi” spanning sales, strategic marketing and its global communications products work.

Pickle was president and chief operating officer of Aliso Viejo-based Microsemi until the chipmaker sold itself to Phoenix-based Microchip Technology Inc. (Nasdaq: MCHP) for $10.3 billion in 2018.

Former Microsemi CEO James Peterson owns a stake in Lantronix. David Goren, a Microsemi exec who helped push its revenue to $2 billion prior to its sale, joined Lantronix as vice president of legal and business affairs last year.

Holliday, a former Microsemi executive vice president, will replace Kevin Yoder, who is retiring.

Lantronix shares jumped 8% to $4.15 for a market cap of $117 million Thursday morning.
