Irvine-based bank First Foundation Inc. will become part of the Russell 2000 Index on Monday morning.
First Foundation provides insurance, investment, and banking services mainly to high net-worth people and businesses.
The Russell 2000 measures the performance of 2,000 small company growth stocks in the U.S. and is a benchmark for small-capitalization stocks in the country. Stocks on the index are chosen and categorized by industry and market cap.
First Foundation is the No. 4 bank based in Orange County. It has $2.7 billion in assets and has one local office that employs 142. Companywide it has nine offices and 242 employees.
