Irvine-based Home Franchise Concepts said it has tapped H. Scott Barrett to be president and CEO.
Home Franchise Concepts franchises across a number of home improvement brands, including Budget Blinds, Tailored Living, Concrete Craft and AdvantaClean.
Barrett had already been serving in the role on an interim basis since September and will be based in parent company JM Family Enterprises Inc.’s Deerfield Beach, Fla. office.
Barrett succeeds Shirin Behzadi in the top spot.
Behzadi parted ways with the company not long after JM Family acquired Home Franchise Concepts last year. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Barrett has been a long-time member of JM Family’s executive team. He started out at the company as chief information officer in 2001, going on to hold various positions including president of the company’s JMSC corporate services division and later president of JMsolutions software and marketing services division.
