Irvine-based Home Franchise Concepts has acquired the Kitchen Tune-Up franchising business.
The acquisition adds Kitchen Tune-Up’s 135 franchisees operating in 202 U.S. territories to Home Franchise Concepts, a multi-brand franchising company focused on home improvement brands. Its portfolio includes Budget Blinds, Tailored Living, Concrete Craft and AdvantaClean.
South Dakota-based Kitchen Tune-Up specializes in kitchen and cabinet services, such as painting and refacing. The business was started by David and Cindy Haglund in 1988, the precursor of which was a cabinet store opened in 1975.
The couple’s daughter, Heidi Morrissey joined the business in 2003 and was named president in 2017.
The acquisition follows Home Franchise Concepts’ August appointment of H. Scott Barrett to be president and CEO, based out of parent JM Family Enterprises Inc.’s Deerfield Beach. Fla. headquarters.
