Genesis Bank Starts Escrow Division

Names Michelle Gregorian to manage unit

Genesis Bank, which opened last year, said it’s started an escrow division to handle all aspects of commercial and commercial real estate-related escrow transactions.

The Newport Beach-based bank has hired Michelle Gregorian to manage the unit, which includes compliance, processing and custody and disbursement of escrow funds.

“Michelle brings over 30 years of multifamily and commercial escrow experience to Genesis Bank Escrow,” Stephen H. Gordon, Founding Chairman and Chief Executive, said in a statement.

“Our extensive collective experience in the escrow business, through many cycles, has enabled us to successfully launch our escrow division with a highly skilled team of professionals and leading-edge technology.”

Gordon has previously started and successfully sold two banks that were based in Orange County, Commercial Capital Bancorp and Opus Bank.
