Irvine-based CoreLogic Inc. said James Balas is its new Chief Financial Officer.
Balas was promoted from controller and principal accounting officer and will replace Frank Martell who had been CFO since August 2011 and accepted the chief operating officer position in June 2014.
Martell will continue as COO and lead CoreLogic’s enterprise data management, information technology and corporate development organizations, the company said.
CoreLogic provides real estate information to companies in real estate, mortgage finance, insurance and capital markets.
The Business Journal ranked CoreLogic as the No. 10 publicly-owned Orange County company with a market cap of about $3.2 billion. The company employs 485 locally and about 4,900 in total.
