Irvine-based Banc of California, Inc. promoted Thedora Nickel to Chief Administrative Officer from executive vice president of operations.
Nickel will also join the bank’s executive committee.
She will retain responsibility for the bank’s operations and treasury management services and will add responsibility for human resources and other administrative functions.
Nickel worked with Bank of America for 25 years before joining Banc of California in 2013, and left as a senior vice president and operations executive.
Banc of California was added to the S&P SmallCap 600 Index and the S&P SmallCap 600 GICS Regional Banks Sub-Industry Index on March 29.
The Business Journal ranked it as the largest bank in OC in 2015. It had $8.2 billion in assets as of Dec. 31, 2015.
