Newport Beach-based accounting firm Anton & Chia LLP has acquired Tignino & Lutz LLP in Westlake Village on undisclosed terms.
Anton & Chia primarily provides audit and consulting work for corporate transactions, including public offerings.
It has about $8 million in annual revenue, according to Managing Partner Gregory Wahl, who will head the combined firm.
Anton & Chia was founded by Wahl and his wife, Georgia Chung, in late 2009. It has been growing rapidly, with more than 30 employees at its Newport Beach office versus 13 a year ago. The firm last year ranked No. 45 in the Business Journal’s list of top accounting firms here.
It has a smaller office in San Diego, and the Tignino & Lutz acquisition is expected to add six employees.
Anton & Chia also has affiliate offices abroad, including in Hong Kong and India. It also operates a joint venture in Mexico.
Tignino & Lutz provides tax services for individuals and businesses, as well as other consulting work.
Its tax practice is expected to bring an additional $1.2 million in revenue, Wahl said.
