Anaheim-based recycling services provider Certified Recycling has been acquired by Tricor Pacific Capital, a Vancouver-based private equity firm with an office in Chicago.
The terms of the deal weren’t disclosed. Tricor made the investment out of its fifth fund, which has about $283 million in committed capital.
Certified Recycling buys recyclable materials and sells to brokers who then sell them for use by overseas mills.
The company was founded in 1977 by John and Louise Dalton, and is headed by the Dalton family.
Financial details about the company weren’t available.
Tricor said it typically looks for investment targets that have are profitable and have “enterprise values between $25 million and $150 million.”
