Reality Show for Anaheim Arena Team

Professional arena football team LA Kiss will be shadowed by film crews when it kicks off its inaugural season in April at the Honda Center in Anaheim.

AMC Networks Inc. in New York gave a green light to 10-episode documentary series focused on “trials and tribulations of launching a sports franchise.” The series is expected to debut on the AMC channel this summer.

The yet-to-be-named show will follow players and coaches, along with team’s owners, a group that includes Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley of the KISS rock band.

“We are thrilled to partner with AMC in bringing our show to the viewing public,” Stanley, KISS guitarist and singer, said in a news release. “Anyone who knows Gene and I, knows we have never played by the rules. This opportunity to see the making of our team of rebels, the LA KISS, from behind the scenes will once again show everyone that we play to win.”

The series will be produced by Thinkfactory Media in Los Angles, whose credits include another KISS-related venture, the “Gene Simmons Family Jewels.”
