Fullerton Taps Interim for President’s Office

Willie Hagan has been named interim president of California State University, Fullerton.

Hagan will take the post starting Jan. 9.

Hagan has been with the university for about 15 years and had a number of jobs there.

He came to Cal State Fullerton in 1996 as vice president for administration. He served as interim vice president of university advancement from 2000 through 2003. He has been chief financial officer since 2005.

The school will continue a search for a permanent hire. That’s been ongoing since former President Milton Gordon announced last September his plans for retirement after 22 years on the job.

Hagan was associate vice president for administration at the University of Connecticut, where he received his doctorate degree in psychology, before coming to Cal State Fullerton.
