Concordia U. Seeks Business School Dean

Concordia University in Irvine has separated its business school from its professional studies program.

A search for a new dean for its business school is underway.

Tim Peters, who has served as dean of both programs, will head the school of professional studies.

“In separating, both schools will be better prepared to respond to their rapidly growing markets and the demand for adult and continuing education,” Concordia said in a statement.

Concordia’s business school is the largest program on campus, with nearly 350 undergraduate students more than 120 MBA students.

The school of professional studies serves working adults with flexible degree-completion programs. It has four programs, including business administration leadership and health care administration.

Concordia also said it’s looking at the possibility of launching a separate school of nursing in the future.
