Defense company Anduril Industries said it has started production of its unmanned fighter jet at its new Arsenal-1 mega-factory outside Columbus, Ohio.
“We have started production of YFQ-44A Collaborative Combat Aircraft at Arsenal-1,” the Costa Mesa-based company said in a brief note on its X site yesterday.
The YFQ-44A, also known as Fury, is an autonomous, an AI-guided unmanned combat aerial vehicle.
Anduril is in competition with General Atomics for a U.S. Air Force contract for the combat aircraft. The Air Force says a decision is expected later this year.
