Defense company Anduril Industries Inc. said it has raised $1.5 billion in a series F round, at a company valuation of $14 billion. The funding round was led by Peter Thiel’s Founders Fund and Sands Capital.
The Costa Mesa-based firm founded by Palmer Luckey also said in a statement it plans to open Arsenal-1, a 5-million-square foot manufacturing facility to “hyperscale defense manufacturing.”
“With Arsenal, Anduril’s goal is to manufacture and produce tens of thousands of autonomous weapons systems addressing the urgent needs of the United States and our allies,” the statement said.
