Detroit Lions Work with Trace3 on Analytics

To improve fan experience on game days

IT services provider and consulting firm Trace3 in Irvine is working with the Detroit Lions to improve fan experiences on game days, the NFL team said today.

“We look forward to building an analytics room in the heart of Ford Field for the Lions using best of breed technology,” Trace3 Chief Executive Officer Rich Fennessy said in a statement announcing the collaboration.

“From this room, the Detroit Lions data analytics team will focus on optimizing the game day experience through monitoring of real-time metrics from ticketing, concessions, retail, attendance, parking, and more,” according to the statement.

Sports franchises are increasingly relying on analytics to drive real-time decisions.
