October was a month of gains for some of Orange County’s largest automakers.
Irvine-based Mazda North American Operations saw the largest percentage increase with October vehicle sales up 16.5% from a year earlier to 22,736. The performance was led by sales of the CX-5 CUV and CX-9 SUV.
Hyundai Motor America Inc. of Fountain Valley saw sales rise 1% to 57,395 vehicles, driven by the SUV segment.
Kia Motors America Inc. of Irvine notched a 12.2% increase to 56,094 vehicles, with sales of the Telluride SUV driving the gain.
