Mazda reports 19.2% sales increase for 2021

Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) reported a 38% dip in December sales in comparison to the prior year, with a total of 19,422 units sold. Still, the Irvine automaker finished off 2021 strong with a full-year vehicle sales total of 332,756 — up 19.2% from 2020.

The company celebrated other milestones in the year, including the launch of the MX-30, its first battery-electric vehicle for the U.S. market. The brand also placed an emphasis on community outreach, launching the Essential Car Care Program, which provided free oil changes and enhanced cleaning for educators.
