Project Youth OC, a Santa Ana-based nonprofit supporting youth with a spectrum of services including juvenile diversion, academic and career development, and health education, is pleased to announce the appointment of Laura Corona Marcum as its new executive director. Having led dynamic teams within the nonprofit sphere for the past 15 years, she brings a wealth of experience in fund development, operations and high-growth scaling of credible, evidence-based programs.

Her appointment coincides with the launch of the organization’s new strategic plan, which will elevate overall visibility for the organization with a new marketing and outreach strategy while remaining focused on delivering individualized, culturally competent support that strengthens families, provides connection to community resources and keeps at-promise youth in-school, healthy and drug-free.

Prior to Project Youth OC, Corona Marcum was chief operating officer at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County and the Inland Empire and worked with nonprofits including Girls Inc. of Orange County, the Alzheimer’s Association and the Down Syndrome Association. She was recognized in 2023 by Orange County Grantmakers with the Outstanding Changemaker Award for her extraordinary commitment to making the region a better place to work, live and thrive.
