On the Move: OCCF Welcomes Accomplished Leaders to Board of Governors

The Orange County Community Foundation is proud to announce the appointment of two new members to its respected board of governors:

  • Kayhan Mirza, Retired Partner at Goldman Sachs
  • L. Song Richardson, Chancellor’s Professor of Law at University of California, Irvine School of Law
Kayhan Mirza
Kayhan Mirza

Kayhan Mirza brings a wealth of experience from his career at Goldman Sachs, where he held several global leadership roles in Fixed Income and Currencies. His extensive experience also includes serving on key committees such as the Firm Wide Risk Committee and the European Management Committee. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Mirza was a Managing Director at J.P. Morgan, where he oversaw Global FX Derivatives trading.

L. Song Richardson
L. Song Richardson

L. Song Richardson returns to the UCI School of Law following her tenure as the 14th President of Colorado College, where she led initiatives to expand access and affordability, and prioritized student engagement and well-being. A civil rights lawyer by background, Richardson’s career is marked by her dedication to dismantling educational barriers and addressing institutional biases. Recognized as one of Orange County’s most influential leaders, she continues to serve on prestigious boards, including the American Association of Colleges & Universities and the American Law Institute.

The addition of Mirza and Richardson marks a significant step forward for OCCF, which stewards more than $850 million in assets held in 700 charitable funds. Their contributions are expected to further OCCF’s commitment to innovation, collaboration, and strategic philanthropy.
