PERFORMING ARTS

Arts & Learning Conservatory Founder and CEO Debora Wondercheck was recently tapped for roles with two esteemed organizations — the Costa Mesa City Arts Commission and the Forbes BLK community of leaders.

Costa Mesa Mayor John Stephens appointed Wondercheck for a second, two-year term as an Arts Commissioner for the City of Costa Mesa. She currently serves as Vice Chair of the Arts Commission and her new term will begin in January 2024.

Wondercheck also is being recognized as a national voice among black professionals, entrepreneurs and other leaders — and has been named to the Forbes BLK community. Established earlier this year by Forbes, the renowned global business publishing enterprise, the mission of ForbesBLK is to champion a global community of Black entrepreneurs, professionals, leaders and creators that are driving systematic change in business, culture and society.

Based in Costa Mesa, Arts & Learning Conservatory is a nonprofit organization that empowers youth to excel in a socially equitable, diverse, world-class performing arts environment, enriching their education and personal development and building better lives.
