The Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 0.1% to 29,317.2, with the Nasdaq up 0.1% to 9,368.7.
The price on a barrel of crude oil was off 0.3% to $58.36.
Gold rose 0.6% to $1,560. an ounce.
The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond increased 1.1% to 1.8%.
HEALTHCARE
San Clemente medical device maker Glaukos Corp. (NYSE: GKOS), which focuses on ophthalmic-related treatments, was down 2% to $57.70 for a market value of $2.5 billion.
San Clemente-based ICU Medical Inc. (Nasdaq: ICUI) shares were trading up 2% to $192.28. The company, which makes infusion therapy products, had a recent market value of $4 billion.
