Midday Stock Roundup

The S&P 500 was flat in midday trading at 2,664.78.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.4% to 24,589.58.

The Nasdaq climbed 0.2% to 6,871.96.

The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond dropped 0.8% to 2.38%

The price of gold was up 0.6% to $1,250.

TECHNOLOGY

San Jose-based Western Digital Corp. (Nasdaq: WDC) was up 2% to $83.50 and a $24.6 billion market cap. The storage products maker, which has a big operation in Irvine, said yesterday it settled litigation with Toshiba Corp. on the latter’s proposed $18 billion sale of its flash memory business.

RESTAURANTS

Habit Burger Restaurants Inc. (Nasdaq: HABT) climbed about 2% to $9.97 a share and a $260 million market cap. An analyst at Maxim initiated coverage on the fast casual burger chain’s shares with a “buy” rating and a $13 price target.

SERVICES

BioCorRx Inc. (OTC: BICX) in Anaheim was up 22% to 9 cents a share and a $22 million market cap. It develops alcohol and opioid addiction treatment programs and said Reno-based CereCare LLC will license its work for treatment centers in Nevada. CereCare paid $100,000 to BioCorRx and received restricted shares in the company.
