The OC chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners will honor four business women at its Remarkable Women Awards Gala at City National Grove of Anaheim on May 11.
- Honorees include Loreen Gilbert, president and founder of WealthWise Financial Services in Irvine, NAWBO’s business owner of the year for 2016, and the only woman and only Californian on the Trump/Pence Small Business Advisory Council
- Heidi Hendy who started Newport Beach-based H. Hendy Associates in the late 1970s and which has been named one of Interior Design Magazine’s Top 200 Architecture Firms 30 years in a row
- Chemical engineer Anoosheh Oskouian, who created Ship & Shore Environmental Inc. in Signal Hill to produce pollution abatement systems and services, and
- Scharrell Jackson who founded her speaker series, Leadership in Heels, which motivates and equips women to see themselves as leaders, while serving as a full-time partner, chief operating officer and chief financial officer in the Newport Beach office of accounting firm Squar Milner.
Jackson is also a Business Journal OC 500 member.
2017 marks the NAWBO event’s twenty-first year.
