Irvine-based Yogurtland Franchising Inc. is making good on aggressive plans for growth with a new franchising deal for Australia.

The frozen yogurt chain said it has a signed a franchise agreement for 50 locations in Australia.

The first of those stores under the agreement is expected to open next month in Sydney.

Franchisee Paul Siderovski plans to open between 10 and 12 Yogurtlands next year in Australia.

Yogurtland now counts more than 200 stores in the U.S., Mexico and Guam.

Competitors Menchie’s of Encino and Orange Leaf Holdings LLC of Oklahoma City currently have locations in Australia.
