Universal Services Buys L.A. Partner

Santa Ana-based Universal Services of America, which provides security and janitorial services, has acquired L.A.-based RJWestmore Inc. on undisclosed terms.

Universal Services had $396 million in revenue for the year through June in a 20% increase from a year earlier. It had 1,944 Orange County employees as of June.

Universal Services has been in partnership for more than 15 years with RJWestmore, a company that provides commercial building tenants with fire-safety training and emergency-certification programs.

Universal Services has used RJWestmore in providing such training for office properties covering almost 400 million square feet throughout the U.S.
