Chapman University paid $3.3 million for a 14,780-square-foot office building at 303 W. Palm Ave. near its campus in Orange. Chapman plans to take over the building as part of an ongoing expansion. Cable TV operator Time Warner Inc. now leases the building and is set to leave when its lease expires. Chapman bought the building from the James Glidewell Family Trust. Glidewell is the founder, owner and president of dental products maker Glidewell Laboratories Inc. of Newport Beach. Chapman paid $223 per square foot for the building. It’s the latest in a series of building buys the school has done around its campus in downtown Orange. Chapman and the Glidewell trust represented themselves in the deal.
