ART

The Bowers Museum of Cultural Art in Santa Ana hired Racheal Rodriguez as vice president for development. Rodriguez came to The Bowers Museum from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she was director of major gifts for the Graduate School of Education & Information Studies.

ARCHITECTURE

Thomas Cox Architects promoted Daniel P. Gehman to associate partner and studio director.

Irvine-based Ware Malcomb promoted Brock Grayson to regional director. He will be responsible for managing the commercial architecture team and overseeing all architecture projects for the Irvine office. Brock has been with Ware Malcomb since 1997 and previously worked as a project architect for both the Irvine and Northern California offices.

Michael Hardy was appointed regional manager of the Tustin office at Greenberg Farrow Architecture Engineering Development.

FINANCE

Ernst & Young appointed Bruce Bulloch tax real estate industry services leader. He will be based in the Irvine office and will oversee tax service offerings and real estate relationships in Southern California, Arizona, Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada and New Mexico. Bulloch has been with the company since 1980 and was made a partner in 1989. He previously worked in Ernst & Young’s Utah, Baltimore and Washington, D.C., offices.

CWCapital named Mark A. Kellman senior vice president and Western regional manager. He is responsible for the Newport Beach, Los Angeles and Burlingame offices and will be based out of Newport.

HEALTHCARE

Ron Goldstein was named the first president of ChoiceAdministrators, a part of Orange-based Word & Brown. Goldstein, who had been serving as senior vice president and general manager of CaliforniaChoice, joined Word & Brown in 1990 as vice president of sales.

NONPROFIT

Children’s Hospital of Orange County’s CHOC Foundation for Children named Charles Knox assistant vice president. He will be responsible for major gifts, estate and planned gifts and corporate and foundation giving. He previously held the positions of assistant vice president of Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles’ foundation and director of the fundraising campaign for Chapman University.

Ted Moore joined the board of Community Service Programs, an agency that serves more than eighty thousand adults and youths in Orange County. Moore is the regional vice president of First American Title. Steve Claton also joined the board. Claton is the vice president of operations at The Irvine Company.

Coto de Caza residents Elizabeth and Tom Tierney have been named co-chairs for the private fundraising campaign for a new hospital at UCI Medical Center in Orange. The hospital is scheduled for completion in 2008. Elizabeth and Tom are trustees of the UCI Foundation. They provided the lead gift for the Tierney University House, the chancellor’s private residence, and established the Thomas T. and Elizabeth C. Tierney Chair in Peace Studies in the School of Social Sciences. Tom is president of VitaTech International, which makes nutritional supplements.

SERVICES

Tarsadia Hotels appointed Eric Jacobs vice president of real estate and Edward Coss executive vice president and general counsel. Jacobs joins Tarsadia from Hilton Hotels, where he was director of franchise development, Western region. Coss has represented Tarsadia Hotels for the past 18 years through his law practice at Coss Shreiar & Lazof.

Christine Diemer Iger, a government affairs consultant, was named to the advisory board of directors for Orange-based Southern Counties Oil Co.

The Spa and Fitness Club in Costa Mesa promoted Anthony Wall to general manager. He previously was the club’s fitness and operations director.

SPORTS

The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim made the following additions to the hockey team’s staff: Mike McGee was appointed director of finance. In his nine years at Disney, Mcgee has filled several roles at the Disneyland Resort and in corporate finance. Caroline LaPierre was named as the new Premium Club and suite marketing representative. Previously, LaPierre worked with the Arthritis Foundation, the March of Dimes Birth Defects Foundation and the Special Olympics, Southern California. Matt Savant joined the Mighty Ducks as marketing manager. He previously worked as a senior account executive at Young & Rubicam Advertising.
