ACCOUNTING

Glenn M. Gelman & Associates in Santa Ana promoted Kreith-chele Barnard to accounting manager. Barnard previously served as supervisor.

Cindy Gonzalez was hired as a senior manager at Irvine-based Allen Haight & Mon-aghan LLP. She pre-viously was a partner with Mendoza Berger & Co. in Irvine.

ARCHITECTURE

Greg James was hired at Los Angeles-based Nadel Architects Inc. as the managing principal of the retail unit in its Costa Mesa office. James previously worked at the Irvine office of KKE Architects as a senior project manager.

BANKING

Los Angeles-based Wed-bush Bank hired Maria Ruppert-Pappas as vice president and business development officer in sales in its Newport Beach office. Ruppert-Pappas will be leading the recently launched Orange County loan production office.

Scott Connella was promoted to executive vice president at Union Bank in Irvine. Connella will oversee the Southern California division of the commercial bank. Union Bank is part of Tokyo’s Mitsu-bishi UFJ Financial Group Inc.

ENERGY

Julie Moran has joined Costa Mesa-based EPS Corp. as executive vice president and general manager. Moran previously served as a senior vice president at Safety-Kleen Systems Inc. Moran will lead the growth and product development for the company’s xChange Point product, which helps companies reduce energy and carbon emissions.

FINANCE

Financial Asset Services Inc. in Irvine hired Jim McCracken as national sales director. He previously served as senior account executive at Colorado’s Aurora Loan Services.

LAW

Best Best & Krieger LLP hired Alisha Winter-swyk as an associate. Winterswyk will be working out of the company’s Riverside and Irvine offices and joining its environmental and natural resources practice.

MARKETING

Stasha Surdyke has joined Costa Mesa-based Arts PR as account manager. Sur-dyke will be responsible for clients in the Los Angeles area. Arts PR provides public relations for nonprofit and arts groups.

Matt Brown was promoted to president at Irvine-based Ignite Health. Brown previously served as chief operating officer. Brown will be responsible for the growth of the company’s Irvine and New York offices.

REAL ESTATE

Laguna Hills-based Muller Co. hired Lori Ann Haigh as director of business development and Susan Rosenblatt as director of asset management. Haigh previously served as vice president of national sales for First American Corp. of Santa Ana. Rosenblatt previously served as a senior vice president at Wells Fargo & Co.

RETAIL

Steven Strickland was named vice president of marketing at Costa Mesa-based Anna’s Linens Inc. Strickland previously was head of marketing for New Hamp-shire’s Brookstone Inc.

SPORTS

RoAnn Costin, John Hendrickson and Sandy Nitta were added to the USA Water Polo board in Huntington Beach. Costin played water polo at Harvard University and earned All-American honors as a member of its swim team. Hendrickson is a former player at Stanford University and is a member of the Olympic Club in San Francisco. Nitta previously served as head coach of the women’s national team.

TECHNOLOGY

Xerox Corp. named Dave Pritts vice president of the greater OC region. Pritts will be responsible for the sales and marketing of office systems, production printing systems and global services.

Toshiba America Medical Systems Inc. in Tustin promoted Doug Ryan to vice president, marketing and strategic development. Ryan previously served as senior director for the company. Toshiba America Medical Systems is part of Japan’s Toshiba Corp.
