The Laguna College of Art + Design today appointed Mark Saville as new interim chief executive and president, effective immediately.
Saville, previously vice president of advancement, succeeds Steven Brittan, who is stepping down after five years to take personal time with his family and return to private consulting, according to LCAD.
“Mark is a mission-driven leader who has demonstrated the organizational skills to lead LCAD through this exciting time of historic transformation,” LCAD Board of Trustees Chair Jared Mathis said in a statement.
Saville joined LCAD in 2024 and has been leading a $100 million capital campaign to help fund the consolidation of the campus. The most recent gift was $40 million from an anonymous donor, announced last August.
LCAD is one of the nation’s leading visual and applied arts colleges and serves approximately 750 students.
